Muhammad Ali Amiruddin is the Founder and Executive Principal of SAGE – School of Advanced & Global Education, a purpose-driven institution focused on developing thoughtful, capable, and values-led individuals. Beginning his career in the classroom, he built a strong belief that meaningful teacher–student relationships are at the heart of effective learning.
Driven to move beyond rote, exam-focused systems, he founded SAGE to promote inquiry, analytical thinking, ethical reasoning, and real-world relevance within a strong academic framework. He envisions SAGE as part of a larger shift in education—one that balances academic excellence with character development, emotional intelligence, and future-ready skills.
He believes the true success of education lies not just in results, but in shaping independent thinkers, compassionate citizens, and responsible leaders.

My own journey is deeply rooted in the classroom. My experience as an educator gave me a profound respect for how students learn best—when they feel understood, challenged, and supported. It showed me how curiosity is nurtured, confidence is built, and young minds are inspired to think beyond textbooks.
Over time, this connection with students grew into a broader mission: to move beyond exam-centric, rote-based schooling and help reimagine what education can be. At SAGE, learning is designed to foster analytical thinking, inquiry, ethical reasoning, and real-world relevance, while maintaining strong academic structure and age-appropriate rigor.
We envision SAGE as more than a single institution. Our aim is to contribute to a wider shift in how education is designed, delivered, and experienced—one that balances academic excellence with character development, emotional intelligence, life skills, and future-ready competencies.
